AMUEEE 2012 Description

Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Exam, which is popularly known as AMU EEE, is conducted by Aligarh Muslim University. It is conducted for admission to University’s Bachelor’s level program in the fields of technology and architecture. The score of the candidates in the entrance examination are also accepted by the colleges affiliated to the university.

AMUEEE 2012 Conducting Body

Aligarh Muslim University conducts this entrance examination every year for the admission of students to the B.Tech and B.Arch courses.

AMUEEE 2012 Eligibility

  1. The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or its equivalent under 10+2 examination scheme, from any recognized state/national Board.
  2. The candidates need to have obtained not less than 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the qualifying examination.
  3. The candidates, who have completed their diploma in the field of engineering from any recognized University, are also eligible to apply for appearing in the competitive examination.

AMUEEE 2012 Exam Pattern

Aligarh Muslim University conducts AMU Engineering Entrance Exam in two parts (paper one and two), in which part two is compulsory for the candidates, who are seeking their entrance into Architecture course. The test pattern of both the papers under AMU Engineering Entrance Exam is given below-

Paper One
The paper one is for those students, who are applying for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program. The question paper consists of multiple choice type questions. Each question carries four options and the candidates have to find out the right answer from them. The questions in the paper are based on Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics.

Paper Two
The candidates, who are seeking their admission to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program, have to appear in the paper two of AMU Engineering Entrance Exam. However, they must have also appeared in paper one. The paper two of the exam is particularly designed to test the aptitude of the candidates in the field of architecture.

AMUEEE 2012 Courses

  2. Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch)


The duly filled in application form and draft should be sent to the Admission Section, Office of the Controller of Examination and admissions, AMU, Aligarh. The drafts to be prepared for B.Tech and B.Arch courses are Rs.300 and Rs.400 respectively. The name of the course should be properly written on the request letter.

AMUEEE 2012 Syllabus

The syllabus of AMU Engineering Entrance Exam consists of the following topics-
Physics
Elements of vectors, nuclear physics, atomic physics, surface tension, collisions and center of mass, friction, gravitation, temperature and thermal expansion of solids, liquids and gases, semi-conductor devices and communication systems, Electro Magnetics, Thermo Electricity, Electro Statics, Magnetism, Geometrical Optics, Thermal Radiations etc.

Mathematics
Calculus, probability, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, vector algebra, algebra etc.

Chemistry
Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metals, Hydrogen and its Compounds, Group elements, Chemical Energetics, Surface chemistry, Chemical Equilibrium and chemical Kinetics, Gaseous State, Chemical Bonding, Nuclear Chemistry, Atomic Structure, Periodic Classification of Elements, Stoichiometry, Acids and Bases Electro Chemistry etc.
